Are you aware of the chemical company by the name of Monsanto?

…If the food products you usually buy had a skull and crossbones on it with a WARNING label would you still buy it, and consume it?

This is a serious issue that really needs to be exposed. Although it is growing with support and awareness there are still A LOT of people who have no idea of this problem and the dangers of GMO (Genetically Modified Foods) and what Monsanto is actually doing.

The dangers and harm to our future, our health, our planet and environment caused by Monsanto and our government’s secret plans should be of serious concern.

They are doing everything in their power to keep the truth away from the general public. The problems connected to GMOs and Monsanto are certainly not taught in school nor discussed on the News. This should be a Headline News, but people are being brain-washed, blinded, mislead, and preoccupied by frivolous things.

Why are we more concerned about what’s going on in Hollywood, who’s got the latest fashion design, the most hip haircut, Miley Cyrus, Brittany Spears, iPhone 5, and football? All these things should not be our news reporters’ main concerns. This is what keeps people stupid, unaware, and uneducated. These celebrities’ lives and  materialistic things are not important and do not affect us personally, our planet, our health, our families, nor OUR FUTURE.

But it’s all a part of their plan; the media is controlled by our government keeping the truth and what really matters buried and out of sight.

Mind you, they (our government and the corporations they protect)  do all this for their own monetary gain. Corporate thugs take advantage of us and make full use of their political protection. And they do it right under our noses.

That is exactly why I am writing this is to share with people some awareness… Some truth

Set aside Monsanto and their evil history it’s important for us to know what’s going on with our food. We need to be aware and make wise decisions when we go grocery shopping or decide to take advantage of the very convenient fast-food restaurants on every other corner.

What are GMOs?

GMOs, or “genetically modified organisms,” are plants or animals that have been genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses or other plants and animals. These experimental combinations of genes from different species cannot occur in nature or in traditional crossbreeding.

Virtually all commercial GMOs are engineered to withstand direct application of herbicide and/or to produce an insecticide. Despite biotech industry promises, none of the GMO traits currently on the market offer increased yield, drought tolerance, enhanced nutrition, or any other consumer benefit.

Meanwhile, a growing body of evidence connects GMOs with health problems, environmental damage and violation of farmers’ and consumers’ rights.

How To Avoid Genetically Engineered Foods

Although GMO’s are in almost every food you can buy and eat, there are some things to look for to make smarter choices when buying food. GO ORGANICOrganic foods will always be a better and safer choice. Here is the definition of organic food: 

Organic: Relating to food produced with the use of feed or fertilizer of plant or animal origin, without employment of chemically formulated fertilizers, growth stimulants, antibiotics or pesticides. 

Also look for foods and products with the “Non-GMO Project Verified” seal.

The retailers who started the Non-GMO Project were motivated by a simple idea. They believed that consumers in North America should have access to clearly-labeled non-GMO food and products, now and in the future. That conviction continues to guide the Non-GMO Project, as North America’s only independent verification for products made according to best practices for GMO avoidance.

What does “Non-GMO Project Verified seal” mean?

The verification seal indicates that the product bearing the seal has gone through our verification process. Our verification is an assurance that a product has been produced according to consensus-based best practices for GMO avoidance:

  • We require ongoing testing of all at-risk ingredients—any ingredient being grown commercially in GMO form must be tested prior to use in a verified product.
  • We use an Action Threshold of 0.9%. This is in alignment with laws in the European Union, where any product containing more than 0.9% GMO must be labeled. Absence of all GMOs is the target for all Non-GMO Project Standard compliant products. Continuous improvement practices toward achieving this goal must be part of the Participant’s quality management systems.
  • After the test, we require rigorous traceability and segregation practices to be followed in order to ensure ingredient integrity through to the finished product.
  • For low-risk ingredients, we conduct a thorough review of ingredient specification sheets to determine absence of GMO risk.
  • Verification is maintained through an annual audit, along with onsite inspections for high-risk products.
